Head of School Day Celebrates Milestones, Achievement
Six long-time faculty and staff members were celebrated by the school community at the annual Head of School Day on Wednesday, May 3 in the Rollins-Luetkemeyer Athletic Center. Head of School Dave Farace ‘87 and Associate Head of School Kate Mueller recognized Middle School employees—Kim Mitchell, Carol Schmelz, and Denise Wolf—for their 25 years of service to the school, and thanked retirees—Karen Janiga, Oslo Johnson, and Nick Koshar—for their dedication to McDonogh.
Following the recognition ceremony, upper schoolers were presented with academic awards. Throughout the morning’s celebration the school community enjoyed musical selections performed by ensembles from each division.
