2007 IAAM Championship is Fourth Straight for Swimmers

The girls swim team won its fourth straight solo Independent Athletic Association of Maryland Championship Sunday at UMBC's aquatic center, finishing with 485 points to 414 for second-place Mt. de Sales. The Eagles have five league crowns in five years (they shared with NDP in 2003) and have gone undefeated in 50 straight meets.

The big story of the championship was how Eagle swimmers' times improved. In 26 of 27 races, the girls set new personal records. They finished first in 7 out of 11 events in the process.

Seniors on the team since their freshman year have a distinctive honor. They will graduate from McDonogh without having lost a high school swim meet or championship.
