A Great Week
Headmaster Bo Dixon called Spirit Week 2001 "joyous days for all of us at McDonogh." While he acknowledged the pain of losing, (the football and soccer teams faced championship defeats on November 10), he reminded students that final outcome isn't everything. "Thanks to your efforts, your spirit, your caring during the fall, McDonogh students were and are winners."
Speaking at the November 12 Upper School assembly, Athletic Director Mickey Deegan told students that if there were a trophy for great sportsmanship, she would award it to them. She commended them on their courteous behavior as team members and fans.
