Assembly Focuses on Historical, Political Aspects of Recent Attacks

At a special assembly program on Monday, September 24, Upper School students, faculty, and staff listened attentively as history and religious studies teachers provided historical and political perspectives on the recent terrorist attacks. To help the audience understand their feelings, the school psychologist then explained the range of natural human reactions to tragedy.

When the assembly was over, students and their faculty advisors met in small groups to talk about personal concerns, share opinions, and ask questions. In history classes throughout the day, history teachers encouraged further discussion.

Information sharing will continue in the Upper School via a new electronic onference, where students and teachers may post relevant articles and respectful opinions.
