Girls Win Sixth Straight Swimming Title
The girls varsity swim team captured its sixth consecutive IAAM championship title on February 3 at UMBC by beating Mount de Sales 475-432 in the A Conference finals. The victory was especially meaningful since Mount de Sales defeated the Eagles during the regular season to end McDonogh's 51-meet winning streak.
The girls who represented the team finished with their best times this season, according to coach Scott Ward. He attributes a big part of the team's success to senior leadership both in and out of the water.
