Inaugural Dixon Ramble is Benefit for Cancer Research

February 23 2002 Dixon Ramble

More than 200 upper schoolers, faculty, and staff joined together on Friday afternoon, February 23 for the inaugural Dixon Ramble, a campus walk/run to benefit cancer research. Proceeds, totaling more than $500 so far, will be contributed to two non-profit organizations.

Upper School history teachers Jeff Sanborn and John Wood conceived the race and named it in honor of Headmaster Bo Dixon. To encourage participation, they offered prizes for advisor groups with 100 percent participation, for most creative outfit, for those who finished closest to the times they predicted, and for speed.
