Just Announced: West Side Story to be Staged in 2004
Dutterer is well known in the local theatre community for his work at Howard County's Centennial High School, where he established the drama program and taught for 25 years. Now retired from the school system, Dutterer directs two theatre companies, the Centennial Players and Shadow Block Productions.
He holds a bachelor's degree in music and a master’s degree in theatre, both from the University of Maryland College Park. A former member of the Army Chorus and the Washington, D.C. Opera Company, he has performed extensively in musical theatre productions in the Baltimore-Washington area.
