Kal Kallaugher: Election Satire TONIGHT!

Please join us for a highly entertaining evening with Kevin "KAL" Kallaugher, international award winning editorial cartoonist from "The Economist" tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Ceres M. Horn Theatre. His lively "stand up routine" will include cartoons, a drawing lesson, and animation. Kal will also share the latest on his ventures in 3D animated satire, including an interactive Presidential debate between Senators Obama and McCain.

For 30 years, Kal has focused his satirical eye on the world’s politicians, publishing more than 7,000 cartoons. He has skewered presidents, prime ministers, and potentates from all over the world, winning a reputation from readers, journalists and scholars as one of the best in his field.

Admission is free and open to McDonogh students, faculty, alumni, parents, and invited guests. There will be a book signing of “KAL Draws Criticism” with the artist after the presentation.

During the day, Mr. Kallaugher will be the guest speaker at assemblies in the Middle School and Upper School. He will also conduct an in-school field trip for some upper school classes.
