McDonogh Debaters Are State Champions
The winning team, captains of the Allan Debating Society, will be among those representing Maryland at the National Catholic Forensic League Tournament in Arlington, Virginia in late May.
In fact, six of the 23 teams entered in the state tournament were representing McDonogh, including the eighth-seeded duo of Aaron S. '03 and Luke S. '03, and the 11th seed, Corey C. '04 and GM B. '04. These two teams reached the consolation finals and semi-finals respectively. Two other groups qualified but were away on a school trip and could not compete.
