Red, White, and Blue for the Soldiers
Sixth-graders used their activities period this afternoon to prepare cards and letters for the U.S. troops serving in the Middle East. Their good wishes will be sent to a 400-person unit that includes the brother of a McDonogh sixth-grader.
Sixth-grade teachers also collected money to buy phone cards for the unit, offering students a red, white, and blue free-dress day in exchange for contributions. The entire Middle School participated.
