McDonogh grins and BEARS it at the 2003 Holiday Assembly!
Every year the singers sing, the musicians play their hearts out, and Director of Religious Studies John Grega assumes a new persona looking for holiday spirit and an audience that will laugh at his puns.
This year, as a bear left in the shop who helps his fellow toys escape a dusty end on the shelf, he found both. The McDonogh family went along for the ride, laughing (and sometimes groaning) at the big grumpy bear's jokes and cheering as each toy found a home with a faculty family. The musical interludes provided joyful punctuation to the story and were greeted with appreciative applause.
