McDonogh Varsity Boys Lacrosse Brings Home MIAA A Championship Title
It was a nailbiter in the end. McDonogh's boys lacrosse team, in their final game under Coach Jake Reed and wearing black leg bands in memory of former teammate Matt Cowdrey '03, wanted to win the MIAA A Championship badly. It would only be their third championship in 65 years and the pressure was on. A comfortable 6-1 lead over Boys' Latin in the third quarter was shortened in the fourth to 8-7, and everyone got a little nervous before senior Jeremy S. scored a late goal to bring the final score to 9-8.
