Morgan State Choir to perform at McDonogh
The Morgan State University Choir, one of the nation’s most prestigious university choral ensembles, will perform a special concert for McDonogh families, alumni and friends, free of charge in Horn Theatre on Wednesday, November 30, at 7:30 p.m.
The choir’s repertoire spans several centuries and includes classical, gospel, and contemporary popular music. The group tours internationally on a regular basis, appearing with the finest American and European orchestras. In fact, two nights after performing at McDonogh, the Morgan State Choir will sing with the BSO at the Meyerhoff. Other highlights on the choir’s schedule include concerts at the White House, tours of South Africa at the request of Bishop Desmond Tutu, and numerous radio and television appearances.
