25th Summer Carillon Season
Twenty-five years ago this October, the 48-bell McDonogh carillon sounded its first concert atop Tagart Memorial Chapel. Today, it is one of only two such carillons in Maryland. The free concert series continues Fridays, July 4, 11, 18, and 25, and August 1 from 7 to 8 p.m., rain or shine. Professional carillonneurs from around the country will perform, and tours of the tower will be available after each of the last three concerts. Bring a picnic supper, lawn chairs, or blankets or listen from your parked car. Seating is also available in the chapel.
