Six Sign to Play Div. I Sports
Six seniors signed NCAA letters of intent today to play sports in Division I college and university programs. In a signing ceremony held in the athletes' honor, McDonogh coaches congratulated and commended their players. Then, students and parents sealed those college commitments with their signatures.
DaJuan S. will play basketball for Georgetown University.
Bryn H. will play lacrosse for the University of Maryland.
Anne Marie B. will swim for the University of Georgia.
Kim D. will play lacrosse for Johns Hopkins University.
Melanie H. will play lacrosse for Georgetown University.
Casey P. will play lacrosse for Vanderbilt University.
Consistent themes emerged in the coaches' warm and genuine remarks about the recruited athletes. In addition to superior skills, the coaches said, all have demonstrated an outstanding work ethic, good character, and team leadership during their McDonogh careers.
