The Cow is [temporarily] Grounded!

Although she has been temporarily grounded, Mrs. Lidston, dressed as a cow, will jump over the moon suspended high above the Ceres M. Horn Theatre stage. Cheering Mrs. Lidston on will be the lower schoolers, who met their summer reading goal and look forward to their always-amusing reward.

A reading specialist before she became an administrator, Noreen Lidston will do just about anything to encourage children to read. That includes milking a cow, jumping into the campus pond, kissing a frog, eating her Rice Krispie hat, getting taped to a wall, kissing a pig, and spending a whole day on the dining hall roof. When she wrote to students in August to announce the Lower School reading goal and students' reward for meeting it, Mrs. Lidston told them, "You'll enjoy watching the moon and me; it will be absolute 'lunacy.'"
