Just recently, members of the Corner Street Band spent a long night in the studio recording a song. "It took us about eight hours to complete the song, tediously recording take after take of mistakes and wrong notes until we got it just right," reports Josh, a senior. "However, after Mr. New, one of the course instructors, listened to what we had done, he came to the conclusion, and eventually I did too, that there were still a lot of mistakes and wrong notes. So, we’re headed back into the studio soon to complete our first song."
While it does take a lot of time and patience to sit and fiddle with a computer to get just the right sound, "the rewards of creating your very own song are incredible," Josh says. "That is, unless your teacher deletes them by mistake, but that’s a whole other story!"
