Today: Maisel's '72 Military Exhibit on Campus
As a McDonogh graduate and a U. S. military expert, Butch Maisel understands the importance of remembering those McDonogh heroes who gave their lives to preserve America's freedom. He has assembled a museum dedicated to America's military and will bring a part of his collection to campus for Alumni Reunion Weekend.
Military tents will house equipment from the two world wars, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Military vehicles and men in actual wartime uniforms also will be part of the temporary campus museum.
In addition, Maisel has organized an honor guard for the Saturday, April 27 Field House Rededication ceremony, the official opening of the newly restored Memorial Field House lobby. The lobby features tributes to the 70 from McDonogh who died in wartime military service.
