With 918 Registrants, McD is Largest Race for the Cure Team
A total of 918 from the school community have registered for the Komen Maryland Race for the Cure, making McDonogh the largest team participating in the October 21 walk/run.
Team captain Steven Levin is thrilled with the overwhelming response, which is more than three times his original goal of 300 participants.
Counting registration fees and additional donations, the McDonogh contribution to the Komen Maryland Foundation is $30,727. The foundation supports breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.
The team registration is closed, but you can still sign up for the race. Go to the Komen Maryland Web site for a list of registration sites at area malls.
Team members: Registration packets will be available on campus the week of October 16. Watch your e-mail for details.
