McDonogh sent four teams, one representing each grade level. Together, students claimed a first place and three second place awards. They tested their knowledge of designated books against competing teams from Baltimore Lutheran, Boys Latin School, Calvert School, Glenelg Country School, Roland Park Country School.

The fifth grade team of Preston R., Samuel A., Jack D., Shannon C., and alternate Dylan O. placed second.

Sixth graders Tori L., Margaret S., Harini R., Madison D. and alternate Sara S. won first place in their battle round.
