Girls Win National Championship in Hurdle Relay
On Saturday, March 13, the quartet of Kristen Brown, Jessica Caldwell, Jasmine Robinson, and Autumne Franklin placed first in the hurdle relay at the Nike Indoor Championships in Boston. Check out the meet statistics.
"It was pretty inspirational and the time ranks in the top 10 ever run, a full second ahead of second place and a second ahead of last year's winning time,"said coach Jeff Sanborn.
An hour later, Jordyn Glaser, Kristen Brown, Jasmine Robinson, and Madeline Dulac (200,200,400,800) placed seventh of 31 teams, only .24 out of sixth.
Jessica Caldwell placed third in the triple jump, Justin Gross third in the long jump, and Kristen Brown sixth in the 60-meter high hurdles.
With their outstanding performances, all seven earned All-American status.
In addition, both the McDonogh boys and girls track teams earned top spots in The Sun's preseason polls.
