First a hurricane, then a tropic storm. Not only did TS Lee make the first day of school, September 7, an adventure, it halted progress on CMP projects.
- The storm damaged the storm-water management pond. It should be completed after a few dry days. Once Baltimore County inspectors approve the pond, work in other areas of the site can commence.
- The parking lot at Field 7, which was supposed to be paved starting last Tuesday, is soaked. It will take about five days to dry out before any paving can be done.
- We are awaiting a permit to expand the dirt stockpile behind the stadium. We can't move any dirt until we have a place to put it.
- The paving of the deceleration lane on McDonogh Road leading to Woods Road is delayed until the gravel bed dries out.
- Road widening west of the culvert depends on BGE, which has gas-line work to complete first.
- The turf field and playground are in use. A final punch list has been submitted to the manufacturer. The field has met specifications for softness.
