Monk '67, Bradford to Receive Alumni Awards
Sharon Bradford, longtime administrative assistant to the athletic department, and Charlie Monk '67, former trustee and board president, are the recipients of this year's Alumni Association Distinguished Service Award.
The DSA is given to an individual in the McDonogh family who, in the opinion of the awards committee, has devoted his or her time and efforts most generously on behalf of McDonogh students, the School, and the Alumni Association. In the selection of the recipient, particular emphasis is placed on "behind the scene" activities recognized by McDonogh School, the Alumni Association, by other groups, or the community at large.
Sharon and Charlie will be honored at McDonogh's Spirit Brunch on Saturday, November 5 at 12:30 p.m. in Alumni Memorial Field House. The brunch precedes the annual McDonogh-Gilman football game, which will be played at home this year.
