The Merchant of Venice, June 1 & 2
The McDonogh Institute for Shakespeare and Renaissance
Studies and the McDonogh Theatre Lab are proud to announce a
production of William Shakespeare’s The Merchant of
Venice. Performances will take place on Saturday and
Sunday, June 1 and 2 at 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the Osborne
Black Box Theatre. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the
door. Seating is limited.
Arguably one of the most controversial plays ever written,
Merchant continues to raise penetrating questions about
racism, religion, and justice. Join a group of thirteen
students performing two different casts and share the
culmination of two years of study and rehearsal.
