From 7 to 9 p.m. tonight in the Horn Theatre, you are invited to join expert on gender roles in child development Dr. Leonard Sax for a talk titled "Facebook Ate My Daughter and My Son Won't Stop Playing Call of Duty!" Founder of the Montgomery Research in Child and Adolescent Development, Dr. Sax will explore issues like the association between Facebook usage and depression in girls, why boys are more vulnerable than girls to the addictive quality of video games, and how much time children should be allowed to spend on social media and video games. For more information, see this flyer.
If you are feeling hungry before the presentation, the McDonogh Parents' Association encourages you to take this flyer to School Night at the Corner Bakery Cafe. A percentage of the sales between 4:30 and 9 p.m. will be donated to the MPA to support the 2013 After-Prom Party. The Cafe is located at 1809 Reisterstown Road in Pikesville.
