Young Debaters Find their Voice at National Tournament
Several students from McDonogh’s debate team, under the direction of Daryl Burch, traveled to Atlanta, Georgia during spring break to compete in the Woodward National Debate Tournament. The three-day tournament included more than 130 first and second year debaters from across the nation. Congratulations to freshmen Claire N. and Annalise M. who made it to the “Sweet 16” round of the First Year Division competition. Second year speakers, Ryan J. '17 and Nishad N. '17 competed in the Second Year Division and broke even with a 3-3 preliminary record.
