Textbooks

Students much purchase or rent a copy of each required textbook for their Upper School classes. Books may be purchased or rented from the vendor of your choice, though you must first go to McDonogh's eCampus bookstore to find an item's 13-digit ISBN. Match the ISBN to be sure you buy the correct book.

Purchase Considerations

Schedules: Students should make all schedule changes before purchasing class textbooks. One schedule revision may lead to others.

ISBN: Purchase textbooks using the item's unique 13-digit ISBN found in McDonogh's Online Bookstore. No matter which vendor you buy from, the ISBN must match the one indicated in the online bookstore. Please use care to select the correct books, as there may be multiple editions, similar titles, and similar covers.

Promotions from eCampus (discounts are automatic; no promo codes necessary):

  • Free shipping on all orders the first 21 days the bookstore is live
  • 10% off used textbooks the first 21 days the bookstore is live

Online Bookstore Instructions

To purchase course materials, consult your child's class schedule.

  • Visit McDonogh Online Bookstore
  • Click "Order Textbooks," and select the correct School Year. ECampus suggests creating an account in the student's name with a separate account per child in a family.
  • Find textbooks by department, course, and teacher's name (refer to your child's schedule)
  • Select items for purchase for each course (or get each book's ISBN to shop elsewhere)
  • Proceed to checkout
  • Students should wait to activate digital access cards until they are certain their schedule will not change.

Sell Used Textbooks

No matter where you purchased your textbooks, you may sell them to any vendor, including eCampus, which operates the McDonogh Online Bookstore. Selling to eCampus helps provide inventory for McDonogh students for the next school year. 

ECampus buyback will be online until further notice. ECampus accepts buybacks all year. There will not be an in-person event the final two days of Upper School exams.

Return Rented Textbooks

To return textbooks rented from eCampus, go to the McDonogh Online Bookstore. In your account, go to “Manage Rentals,” and choose “Return My Rental for Free” to print a UPS return shipping label for your box. 

ECampus rental returns will be online until further notice. ECampus does not accept textbooks that you rented from other vendors. There will not be an in-person buyback event at school.
