As You Like It

Not long after Rosalind, Celia, and Touchstone the clown—Shakespeare’s peripatetic trio from As You Like It—enter the Forest of Arden, having been banished from the oppressive court of Duke Frederick, Touchstone announces: “We that are true lovers run into strange capers; but as all is mortal in nature, so is all nature in love mortal in folly.” Strange capers, indeed. For over four hundred years, audiences have delighted in Shakespeare’s tale of evil brothers, melancholy lords, cross-dressers, and rustic philosophers. And these are just a few of the characters you’ll encounter in the Upper School drama program’s fall production of As You Like It, which will take place on Friday and Saturday, November 4 and 5, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, November 6, at 2 p.m. in the Ceres M. Horn Theatre.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at Upper School lunch or at the door.
