Class of 2009 has 28 Recognized in Scholarship Programs
A total of 28 members of McDonogh's Class of 2009 have been recognized in National Merit scholarship programs: three as National Merit semifinalists, 18 as National Merit commended students, two as National Achievement semifinalists, and five as National Achievement outstanding participants referred to colleges. These honors are based on students’ performance on the 2007 Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which they took as juniors.
The National Merit semifinalists are Will A., Kelsey P., and Phillip S.
The National Merit commended students are Bereket A., Anna B., Izzy B., Seth C., Kian F., Jessie F., Matt G., Hannah K., Katie M., Kiernan M., Demetrios P., Will P., Jack P., Nikita R., Scott S., Jake S., Victoria S., and Melanie W.
The National Achievement semifinalists are Bereket A. and Victoria S.
The National Achievement outstanding participants are Bianca D., Douglas F., Natalie F., Cameron L., and Garnett V.
