McDonogh School’s Class of 2016 seemed to magically grow and blossom on stage in the first grade's production “How Does Your Garden Grow?” on April 13 and 14. Colorfully costumed as flowers, fruits, vegetables, gardeners, animals and a scarecrow, the students struggled with the ever-present weeds that seemed to be taking over the garden. Working together in a carefully choreographed effort and an old-time hoedown, the various components of McDonogh’s garden learned how to stomp out the weeds together and share the space in their garden so they could all thrive.
The children, their first grade teachers and Ms. Garvin, music director for the primary grades, were recognized for their hard work and outstanding contribution to the musical.
