Java is a Kick for Upper Schoolers

Students in the college-level course, which will become an Advanced Placement offering next year, are exploring such computer science topics as graphics, animation, gaming, networking and cryptography. Their best work is highlighted on a section of the McDonogh web server.

If you have the Java run-time environment installed in your browser, you can access the student’s java work at: http://dev.mcdonogh.org/java/

Taught by Donn Lewis, the class will also be developing a java application for the Lower School mathematics department before the end of the year. The application will allow students to test themselves on basic math facts from computers at McDonogh or home. Math specialist Nina Damashek will monitor the lower schoolers’ progress.
