Lloyd Thacker on College Admissions: Calming the Frenzy

During the past 20 years, college admissions has changed dramatically--at the expense of the students. Lloyd Thacker should know. He spent 28 years in the college admission and counseling professions. Since he left his job in 2004, he has dedicated himself to reforming the college admissions process.

Thacker, editor of "College Unranked" and executive director of The Education Conservancy (www.educationconservancy.org), is one of the most well-respected voices in college admissions today. He tells students that they can take control of the process and make the most of their educational opportunities. Thacker's sensible guidance has resonated with students, parents, counselors, and educational administrators nationwide.

All are invited to hear Thacker share his wisdom on Thursday, April 17 at 7 p.m. in the Ceres M. Horn Theatre. His talk is appropriate for upper schoolers and interested parents of students in all grades.
