The Music Man Junior
On April 23-24 sixty-four middle school students, under the direction of 8th Grade English teacher, John Aaron, put on “The Music Man Junior” in Ceres M. Horn Theater. The show was a great success providing many students the opportunity to feel the joy of being on stage. Using an abridged and musically pre-recorded version of Meredith Willson’s 1957 Broadway hit arranged specifically for middle-school ensembles, Mr. Aaron was able to convey the basics of acting to his largely first-time-on-stage company. Everyone’s hard work produced a show that illustrated growth in the ensemble’s theater skills. Emily B., Drew K., Michael S., Adriana M., Natalie W., Kevin T., and J.P. M, were among the lead actors.
