Gianni V. '13 is Headmaster for the Day
Gianni V. '13 assumed the role of headmaster for the day on Friday, March 26 after outbidding other students for the opportunity during the Upper School Auction for Haiti held before spring break. His first order of business was declaring Friday a free dress day for the Upper School, which gained him immediate popularity among students.
Gianni began the day reviewing his schedule with Administrative Assistant to the Headmaster Virginia Olcerst, and spent the remainder of his time as headmaster attending meetings, touring campus, and reviewing the new Campus Master Plan. He also hosted a special lunch for students in his office. At the end of the day, Gianni said, "There is a lot more to this job than I ever thought."
The auction, staged by seniors in the Leadership term elective, raised a total of $2,112 for Haitian earthquake relief.
