The McDonogh Resident Acting Company is proud to announce its spring production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Tony Award winning musical, Into the Woods, April 24-27 in the Ceres M. Horn Theatre.
The play – a musical caveat about the ups and downs of wish fulfillment – refashions and reexamines several well-known fairy tales in ways that are, at times, funny, moving, and tragic. Like every other work in the Sondheim canon, Into the Woods doesn’t offer simply escapism; rather, it bears witness to human failings and to human resilience. It offers, in a word, wisdom.
Join a cast and crew of over forty students from every grade in the upper school who will present five performances of Sondheim’s musical from April 24-27 in the Ceres M. Horn Theatre. Curtain times: 8:00 pm, Thursday – Saturday, 3:30 pm on Saturday, and 5:30 pm on Sunday. Tickets are $5 and can be reserved by contacting Sue Tanury in the theatre office, 410-998-3534.
