McDonogh’s Young Actor’s Theater will present its production of the classic musical Annie on Friday, July 14 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, July 15 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, July 16 at 2 p.m.

The cast includes 38 young people ages 10-16 from schools around the Baltimore area including St. Paul’s School for Girls, Ridgeley Middle, Beth Tfiloh, Franklin Middle, Roland Park Country School, and Dumbarton Middle among others.

Filling the show’s most-loved rolls are Spencer Goldberg as Daddy Warbucks, Gabi Levin as Grace Farrell, and Evan Margolis as Rooster, all from Beth Tfiloh, Dana Shaw from St. Paul’s School for Girls as Mrs. Hannigan, and Justine Foote, a member of McDonogh’s class of 2013, as Annie.

Cara Costantini, ’99, and Amy Callanan, ’05, will serve as Director and Assistant Director, respectively. Caitlin Cantrell, a student at Roland Park Country School, will choreograph, and YAT co-founder Wanda Waller will serve as music director.

This summer’s production will be the second staging of Annie in YAT’s 11 year history (the first was six years ago in July of 2000).

YAT has been a fixture on McDonogh’s campus since its inception in 1995, and first became a part of McDonogh’s summer programs in 1999. In its evolution, YAT has provided its participants with invaluable training in all aspects of theater, from performance to lighting and makeup design.

Tickets for Annie will cost $7 for children and adults of all ages and will be sold only at the door.
